Корни группы берут начало в 2004 году, но как DarkTribe французская мелодик-пауэр-метал-команда стала известна в 2009 году, она была основана в Приморских Альпах четырьмя музыкантами.

Сразу же группа стремительно начала работать над первым мини-альбомом "Natural Defender", который в том же году, 24 октября, был выпущен самиздатом.

Вскоре после этого немецкий лейбл Massacre Records предложил музыкантам контракт, который был скоропостижно подписан, и коллектив приступил к работе над полноформатным альбомом. Работа была готова спустя три года. Диск под названием "Mysticeti Victoria" вышел 24 августа 2012 года. На композицию "Taiji" был снят видеоклип. Позже группа отправилась на гастроли.

После небольшой передышки ребята вновь стали готовить новый материал к записи при поддержке уже другого лейбла - Scarlet Records.

В июле 2015 года вышел второй альбом "The Modern Age". Мастеринг композиций произвел Якоб Хансэн (Volbeat, Epica, Doro, Primal Fear) в своей студии Hansen в Дании. 21 июля пластинка поступила в продажу. Эта работа DarkTribe получила просто великолепные отзывы от мировых критиков.
